This year has been pretty exciting, a lot of the steepest learning curve ever, but in a totally non-baby way I feel I am becoming more the me I was meant to be. I know some of you might wonder why I’m posting so much creative stuff, but it’s been burning away in there, dyeing to get out! (Are you pleased with the dreadful pun mrBen? Am I now truly worthy of you?)

This week’s project is to do up Mira’s room. The base colour is lemon yellow with watermelon inspired shades. I am finally using up some of my birthday pressies from VVRoleaux!

Making up your own hat pattern is not as simple as it looks. Next time I’m trying a blanket - flat and no need for sizing. However, I’ve learned a lot - I’m the sort of person who responds well to really challenging projects in that way! If only I could respond to really challenging pupils as successfully!

Hat no.2 underway  - from the book this time! Well sort of - after all its me, isn’t it.

I am crazy about transforming things - dye it, bead it, patchwork it, crochet it, cook it…

This was once a dull mint colour and look at it now! Cerulean and turquoise procion mx dyes! The one on the right has purple splotches too!

Mira is still enjoying her food and has this week tried plum, papaya, prune, courgette and watercress, carrot, butternut squash and broccoli among others and is liking it all. But she won’t drink water or diluted fruit juice yet.
